2010 Spokane Regional
Spokane, Washington • February 2010
The Huskies made a second appearance in the Pacific Northwest Regional
this year, now hosted by both Washington State University and Eastern
Washington University at the joint Riverpoint Campus in Spokane.
After four competitive rounds, Team 1201 tied for first, only losing that distinction on tiebreakers, and won three individual awards. Washington dropped just one ballot in round three to Gonzaga University, eventual tournament champions.
Team 1565 had a strong showing as well, splitting two rounds and losing a close match against Stanford's A team, historically one of the strongest in the West. The mostly rookie squad also faced stiff competition from a strong WSU team.
In two weeks 1201 will fly to Irvine, California for the second consecutive year and compete for a bid to the National Championship in Memphis, Tennessee.
