2011 Waukegan Opening Round Championships

After qualifying out of the Spokane regional, Team 1277 and Team 1278 competed at the Opening Round Championship tournament in Waukegan, Illinois. Team 1277 earned a coveted bid to compete at the National Championship Tournament in April. In just its third year of existence, the UW squad will compete among the top 48 teams in the country in Des Moines, Iowa, in order to crown a national champion. Several program members won awards for their performances during the weekend. Landon Whitbread received recognition for his witness portrayal, while Keena Bean, Nick Crown, and Taylor Larson won attorney accolades.
