2014 Great Sonoran Showdown
Tucson, Arizona • November 2014
UWMT started the year off strongly with an impressive showing at University of Arizona's Great Sonoran Showdown. The veteran mockers earned a third place trophy with with a 6-2 finish. Right of the gate, the Huskies jumped to an early lead by defeating New Mexico and UC Boulder. On Sunday, they split close rounds with UC Santa Barbara and Fresno State. Taylor Deardorff had an award winning performance as a plaintiff closing attorney, the first award of her career.
Up next, UW will host it's own tournament--the Emerald City Open--in early December. Teams from across the country will travel to Seattle and compete for bragging rights.
