2016 UCLASSIC
Los Angeles, California • January 2016
For the fourth time in the past six seasons, UW flew south for MLK Day weekend to compete at the Sunset Strip Invitational Classic. It was the first time at this tournament for all of the members of Team 1195, most of which are first-year members of the program.
They had a great time. The Huskies hit a trio of powerhouse west-coast programs: Berkeley, Stanford, and Arizona. The mockers lost battles with the first two, but went head-to-head with Arizona and split the round. UW also had a great showing against Cal Poly Pomona, taking both ballots in a runaway round.
Junior Kaitlyn McGlothlyn took home an outstanding attorney award for her work as a prosecutor in the case!
Up next for the team: the Boise Regional tournament over Valentine's Day weekend. There, both teams will compete to earn bids to the Opening Round Championship series.
